The search warrant was for the address of 2740 E. 2nd. On the second floor of 2740 E. 2nd, are four small apartments, with separate entrance in the rear of the building. These are numbered A, B, C, & D. Debby Moore was charged with possession with Kansas Marijuana Drug Dealer tax stamps. Sidebar: Debby Moore asked law enforcement to leave enough money for her daughter to eat lunch the next day at highschool where she maintains a 3.79 gpa as an honor student. With very ugly statements, Law enforcement refused to even leave lunch money.

HEMP STORE: State Education Center for Kansas Environmentalists for Commerce in hemp. Property removed from the store. Please note that law enforcement never removed their black hoods and masks from their heads. When they would come into our presence, they would often wrap their heads with T-shirts. One of the law enforcement officers asked another law enforcement officer who appeared to be in charge, if he thought they should take all our merchandise. The response from the officer who seemed to be in charge was, “I don’t care, flip a coin.” The officer actually took out a coin and flipped it. Naturally, we lost the toss.

This is the merchandise removed from the hemp store premises that evening.

Statement from Debby Moore - November 23, 1992

I hope that the people of America do not let this incident slide under the carpet as a “Marijuana Drug Charge”. I will begin this writing acknowledging, I was sitting right in front of the door working on an art project (utilizing strips of aluminum foil, being applied to wire - law enforcement gathered these little pieces of aluminum foil to use as evidence) when the police tapped on the door, less than 24” from the door handle, and I had to roll to get out of the way of the door, as law enforcement stormed inside. As I was slammed face first to the floor with a gun to my skull, I could see two officers with their guns drawn, pointing up the stair well (where my daughter was sitting on a sofa upstairs studying,) and yelling, “you have three seconds to come down stairs, or we will open fire.” Upon entry my first statement was, “I have Marijuana Tax Stamps,” and where my product was. Of course, all who have watched “Top Cops”, and “Most Wanted”, know this did not prevent the police from destroying my house, and taking my personal clothing, jewelry, and decades old keep sakes.

I have been purchasing Kansas Marijuana Drug Dealer Tax Stamps since April 1992, within 12 hours of being made aware of the existence of such stamps. My organization has continuously presented the public with this knowledge, through our store, and education classes. According to my understanding of the law, I was protecting myself from the seizure of my property. My question then is why did they take my money, and personal property. I can prove that I have paid Federal Income Tax, State Income Tax, and States Sales Tax on my miscellaneous income over the last four years. As a mater of fact, it was a outstanding tax debt that has prompted my buying and selling the herb marijuana, and with tax stamps. I will admit that I was buying and selling more product that I had before, but I was also buying more tax stamps, and paying more sales tax. Since 1991, I have paid between Federal Income Tax, State Income Tax, State Sales Tax, City Sales Tax, City Home Occupation License, personal property tax on my 12 year old equipment, and Kansas Marijuana Drug Dealer Tax Stamps, I have paid out over $10,000 in taxes on a total cash flow of approximate $21,000. Do you really believe I am trying to be a criminal?

For more information on the legal aspects, I encourage you to contact my attorney: Charles A. O’hara, 1502 N. Boradway, Wichita, Kansas, 67214, (316) 263 5601.

AS AN AMERICAN, A VOTING CONCERNED CITIZEN, I ask is it right to attack me in this manner because I stood up for my Constitutional Right to Disagree when I thought the Government was wrong? I ask, are we really to the point in our society that we really do allow the government to take literature that is contrary to what the law presently states. Do I not have the right to do my part to make this a better world for all man kind. Do I not have the right to do my part to bring harmony and unity between the people and government? Is not the government the people? Or is it the police, the revenue raising powers of Government, and we the people, playing the part of victim in the over all picture of the game board of life?

Since my arrest, I have began going establishment to establishment telling of the seizure of our literature, and products with Hemp leaves on them. While addressing one group of people * was asked why I am willing to fight this fight. I know that this country could be fuel independent if we were to plant 6% of the land in Hemp. Less land than we presently pay farm subsidiaries on. One acre of Hemp produces 3,000 gallons of fuel. Imagine what it would do to the economy of the United States if we never bought one more drop of foreign oil. Energy-Farming pays the farmer $900. Per acre, @ $.60 a gallon to the consumer, forms an environmentally friendly cycle reducing Greenhouse gases. There would be hundreds of thousands of new jobs, if Hemp were exploited for its 25,000 known products. Paper being the greatest resource. Hemp will produce in one acre the equivalent of paper pulp as four and one-half acres of trees. Why do we import the paper on which we print our US currency?

Thousands of people who sit in jail for following their natural inborn instincts of craving of satisfying the Cannabinoid receptors in their brains, can be released from prison and get back to the job of living. To do their part as productive people to keep this country great, rather than burden the economy with the $60,000 a year to keep them behind bars. It is time we hire teachers and build schools. It is time we acknowledge that all people experiment at one time or another, this does not make them bad people. I am more concerned we teach our children good nutrition, and a positive mental attitude, more than the ability to identify all the commercial drugs available on the market today.

If God is infallible, then Cannabis Sativa L Hemp, AKA Marijuana, cannot be bad.

The Herb Hemp is the only stimulant you can grow and consume, and never change it’s natural properties. Straight from God to you. How much more natural can you be?

Man makes drugs from chemist pots, concentrating Herb’s and plant life, and fermenting grains.

The pharmaceutical industry profits hundreds of millions of dollars annually by depriving the American people of God’s most perfect plant.

The book THE EMPEROR WEARS NO CLOTHES by Jack Herer, exposes the conspiracy which lead to prohibition, shows pictures, and documents memorable events like the 1941 automobile made from the ground by Henry Ford, where by the body was made of the cellar fibers of hemp, the windshields were made of the plastics of hemp, and it was fueled from Hemp. The Emperor also contains publications of the US Government Agricultural Department from 1904, 1914, 1919, 1941, 1943, on growing Hemp for paper, cordage, and bio-mass.

Don’t be smoked screened. This is not a marijuana issue, this is a truth issue. And we are going to continue with the practices that are destroying the soul of this country, or are we going to fix the things that are wrong. I am fighting for my life, for I believe that this country is in a very dangerous position if I cannot read, or print, or distribute printed material, or wear what I choose.

It makes me very sad for America to believe the police department really took my literature.

I now ask for everyone to do his share to stop the nightmare. We really need money, not just for attorney fees, for which a defense fund has been established; but for stamps, envelopes, paper and computer ink. Kansas Environmentalists has always operated with the belief that some one lives across the street, or is friends with another some one, who together we can make a difference. KECH has supported hemp activists groups all over the United states. During the past year, I have written thousands of letter, and I in my heart believe the situation is getting better. We have finally defeated King George Bush, who has controlled America, and the world for the last 32 years. It is now time that we clean up the rest of the regime. Again I beg, do not let this go unnoticed as a marijuana drug charge. This is one of the greatest opportunities the movement has had toward legalization, and I ask for the support of one and all.

In my city, there are many activists groups who are going to follow my trial by gathering on the Courthouse lawn each time I am in court. We have a dream. Ending the Lies, and relegalization. With such a worthy goal, is any price too great for the over all betterment of mankind? We would like to believe that when my trial takes place at the Kansas Supreme Court building in Topeka, Kansas, tens of thousands of people will plan their vacation time to stand together united toward the legalization of Marijuana, and the end of the persecution.
