Federal Government Corrections Homepage

I looked under the “Unicore” section and listed as products produced were paper, card board, and corrugated cardboard. Since I do not have a federal government credit card, this was all the information available to me.

What is my point?

It is big business to invest in privately-held correctional facilities, with their guaranteed net-operating-incomes. Please see: “Credit for Investment or Employment on Grounds Of”

or

It is also big money to have your products produced by prisoners, even cheaper than over seas. Please see:

This home page describes the benefit to corporations hiring prisoners @ they are never late to work. Consider a fast food meal at the end of a month adequate reward for reaching quotas. This homepage document tells of making cable for the IBM Company. Another of, Escod Industries, a division of Insilco Corp - a Fortune 500 conglomerate based in Columbus Ohio makes ‘wire harnesses’ for reviving Europe’s Telephone System. It also states that JOSTENS, INC, the maker of graduation gowns uses prison employees.

This government homepage also documents that ‘Third Generation, Inc’ a contract garment maker produces products for J.C. PENNY & VICTORIA’S SECRET. It further documents that TRANS WORLD AIRLINES, & BEST WESTERN INTERNATIONAL use prisoners for the ticket & reservation centers.

This homepage also mentions that the Chesapeake Cap Company, a subsidy of Lyon Brothers, also produces caps & emblems for the: NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE, MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL, MIDAS MUFFLER MECHANICS, ST. LOUIS POLICE, & LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES.
